Samsung officially announced the end of the Galaxy Note series, and the S Ultra will carry the banner

Samsung officially announced the end of the Galaxy Note series, and the Galaxy S Ultra will carry this banner. That is to say, since August 2021, when Samsung did not launch the new Galaxy Note series for the first time, this iconic series of models will be "replaced" by a single product.
Speaking to reporters at MWC 2022, TM Roh, head of Samsung Electronics' Mobile Experience division, announced that the Note series will appear under the name Galaxy S Ultra from now on. This means that Samsung is not planning to release another Note, and the S Ultra will be a legacy device.
In fact, Samsung has made a lot of hints in the past. The first was the launch of the Galaxy S21 Ultra with S Pen support, followed by the Galaxy Z Fold 3 with the same support. With the built-in S Pen in the Galaxy S22 Ultra, it's almost certain that Samsung has decided to abandon the Galaxy Note series.
While the news is bad news for fans of Samsung's Galaxy Note series, it's honestly not a surprise. The Galaxy Note 20 series, while excellent, failed to perform as fully as Samsung had hoped. Plus, because Samsung already has so many product lines, the existence of the Galaxy Note would make things even more confusing, not just for the company, but for Samsung itself.
That is to say, Samsung will continue to maintain the update of the two series flagship in the second half of the year every year, release the S series at the beginning of the year, and still maintain three models, of which the "super cup" positioning will continue the style of the Note series. In addition, in the fall, Samsung will still launch new folding screens, at least including the high-end flagship Fold and the Flip two series of mid-end.
In fact, it is not difficult to see that Samsung's future expectations for the folding screen are much greater than the current only S series, and perhaps at some stage in the future, the S series may also be "replaced" as the Note series.
